After the meeting between Balloon Media Co. Ltd. and the 2016 Hue Festival Organizing Committee in the afternoon of March 03, Vice Chair of the Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Dung, Chairperson of the 9th Hue Festival Organizing Committee – 2016, highly appreciated and allowed Balloon Media Co. Ltd. to organize the International Balloon Festival during the 2016 Hue Festival. The PPC Vice Chair, Nguyen Dung, affirmed that this was an international social event and that all provincial state agencies shall coordinate with and facilitate the Company to organize the International Balloon Festival during the 2016 Hue Festival.
Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Ha, director of Balloon Media Co. Ltd. said that the 2016 Hue International Balloon Festival was both an international sport event and a cultural tourism product in the time of integration. As such, the Company wanted to add variation and improve popularity for the 9th Hue Festival – 2016 in particular, for the tourism sector of Thua Thien Hue province in general.
Preliminarily, the International Balloon Festival during Hue Festival 2016 would include the following activities: Freestyle balloon flying at 300 m – 500 m altitude in an area of about 5 km to 10 km in radius; Stationary mini balloon vertical fly up to 30 – 50 m and the Light of the Balloons event. Balloon pilots came from: Thailand, Netherlands, Malaysia, Sweden, Korea, USA, Philippines… Time: the 4th and morning of the 5th, May 2016. In addition to this activity, Balloon Media Co. Ltd. would also work with provincial state agencies to organize other social activities such as photography contest “Moment of love”, children drawing contest “Colorful sky” and the Let your wishes carried by balloon festival…
